Red cloth boards with title to front cover and spine. Contents: The Time Machine is a science fiction novella by H. The work is generally credited with the popularization of the concept of time travel by using a vehicle or device to travel purposely and selectively forward or backward through time.
The term "time machine", coined by Wells, is now almost universally used to refer to such a vehicle or device. The Time Machine has been adapted into three feature films of the same name, as well as two television versions and many comic book adaptations. It has also indirectly inspired many more works of fiction in many media productions. Boards mostly clean - a few faint marks; rear cover has 2 indentations / cuts towards front edge (see photos). Light wear to edges, corners and top / bottom of spine.
Apart from owners ink stamp to front endpaper, book is clean, unmarked, no inscriptions, no scribbles, no colouring. Binding is good, hinges firm no loose pages.Rear endpaper has some creasing. Age yellowing to endpapers and main text block. Overall a good early edition of this collectible book.
