I was lucky enough back in the day to have friends who worked in Forbidden Planet up New Oxford Street, They used to let me know when my favourite authors would be doing a signing at the pub round the corner and let me in before they opened. One day I was sitting at the bar chatting away to a bloke over a drink when he said pass them over then I'll sign them while I finish my pint, I had been sitting there all that time without realising it was Sir Terry. He was so nice and didn't mind in the slightest signing all of my bag of books. I got to meet him a few times over the years and he was always a pleasure to chat to and great with everyone who came to see him.
