The final colorful plate paste down depicting gnomes is given the line quote from Tolkien's poem: The padding feet of many gnomes a-coming.Just a delightful volume all round and a splendid find for the Tolkien collector. A very scarcely seen volume with special appeal to the devoted Tolkien collector and completist. Few copies of this First Edition have survived and fewer still in this condition. Because of Tolkien's early contribution it is a much sought after collectible antiquarian volume.
